For athletes
and size 34 to 36 jacket customers with small
waists, it is
common that any tuxedo or suit jacket will fit in the shoulders
very well and that the waist of the jacket may be larger than
you thought. This will be true with almost every tuxedo or suit
currently on the market (unless specified as "athletic
cut").
Athletic cut jackets are nothing more than
a regular jacket with a larger drop. It is the same as taking in
the sides of any jacket. Since your not purchasing from a
limited cut of this type of jacket, the below mentioned
alteration is a bargain in comparison to the prices one pays for
an "athletic cut" jacket. Commonly a 20% premium is
added to the retail price of any 'niche" cut.
An alteration may be required to take in the waist area of the
jacket. This alteration is usually around $20 - $30 depending on
the market area. Call us and we can assist you with finding a
professional tailor for alterations anywhere in the United
States and Canada. |

If your belly
exceeds your chest measurement by four (4) or more inches, it is recommended that you use your belly measurement
as your chest measurement. (Example: 56 Waist + 52 Chest = 56
Jacket.) This is to ensure the jacket will button if you so
desire.
An alteration may be required to take in shoulder area of the
jacket. This alteration is usually around $30 - $35 depending on
the market area. Call us and we can assist you with finding a
professional tailor for alterations anywhere in the United
States and Canada. |
